Akanuma GAMP Farm is a natural farming operation run by a farming family that has been passed down through seven generations,
located in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, surrounded by both the sea and the mountains.
The name “GAMP” comes from the phrase “Go At My Pace,”
reflecting the idea of living and working at one’s own natural rhythm.
Believing in the power of nature, we use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers,
allowing the soil’s natural vitality to flourish to its fullest.
Centered around a 280-year-old traditional farmhouse,
the rice fields, vegetable gardens, animals, and people all live in harmony.
We share this gentle yet enduring cycle with the world,
starting here in Akanuma.
Message from the Farm Owner

Believing in the power of nature and protecting the treasures left by our ancestors,
we strive to bring truly “safe and trustworthy food” from this land to the world.
TADA, the seventh-generation farmer of Akanuma GAMP Farm, was born into a farming family with a 280-year history and has lived alongside the soil of this land all his life.
After experiencing the earthquake and its aftermath, he came to reexamine the very foundations of what it means for people to live.
By growing crops using the natural power of the land—without pesticides or chemical fertilizers—we hope to deliver “true farming” that gently supports both the body and the heart of those who eat our food.
This philosophy is embodied in the name GAMP, which stands for “Go At My Pace.”
While protecting the fertile soil passed down from our ancestors,
we continue to listen closely to the voice of the fields each day—
so that we can leave behind food that is truly safe and delicious for the children of the future.
Crops We Grow & How to Purchase
― Life’s Blessings, Growing with the Seasons ―
At Akanuma GAMP Farm, we cultivate crops without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, trusting in the power of nature and the soil that has been nurtured for over 280 years.
In our rice fields, we grow GAMP rice varieties such as Koshihikari and Tennotsubu.
In our fields, we harvest a wide range of seasonal produce throughout the year, including cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and blueberries.
We also work to pass on local flavors to the next generation by growing traditional vegetables of Iwaki City, such as Tokkuri-imo, Ōku Jūnen, and Musume Kitaka.
With the joy of living in harmony with nature,
we carefully nurture each and every crop with heartfelt attention.
Our freshly harvested produce is delivered directly from the farm and is also available for purchase on Pokemaru and Tabechoku.

For this reason, we kindly ask visitors to wear comfortable shoes and clothing that can get dirty.
