About GAMP Village
― A Small “Village” Where You Can Return to Your Own Pace ―
GAMP Village, located in Hirashimo-Kamiya, Iwaki City, Fukushima,
is a community centered around a 280-year-old traditional farmhouse,
where food, farming, learning, and handicrafts are gently connected.
The name comes from GAMP = Go At My Pace.
We aim to create a place where everyone—visitors, workers, and learners—
can feel safe and be their true selves.
Traditional farmhouse guesthouses, additive-free Japanese tea houses, farms using natural farming methods, carpentry businesses restoring wooden homes, educational support, and more—these diverse hubs are connected by a single vision, creating a village where you can stay as if living there.

GAMP Village Through the Four Seasons
― Village Scenery Shifting with the Seasons ―
The charm of GAMP Village lies in how it reveals a completely different expression in each season.
In spring, the scent of blossoms and new buds;
in summer, the sea breeze and the shimmering rice fields;
in autumn, abundant harvests and glowing sunsets;
in winter, the warmth of the irori hearth.
Because this village lives gently alongside the changing rhythms of nature,
there are scenes you can encounter only in that very moment.
Each visit begins a new “story of the seasons,” quietly bringing your heart into balance—
welcome to the four seasons of GAMP Village.
SPRING
Spring — Season of Buds and Blossoms
In spring, as water fills the rice fields and young greens sprout all at once,
the start of fieldwork, the seedlings lined up under the farmhouse eaves,
and the flowers swaying in the breeze all wrap the entire village in a gentle atmosphere.
Summer — Sea Breeze and Shimmering Rice Fields
In summer, the rice plants grow vigorously under the sunlight.
The sea breeze and the scent of earth rising after a sudden evening shower
create a lively season full of vitality, where you can interact with the fields and animals.
SUMMER
AUTUMN
Autumn — Harvest and Sunset Glow
The rice fields turning golden, and the vegetables and fruits ready for harvest.
In autumn, when the air becomes clear and the sunsets look even more beautiful,
GAMP Village is filled with a rich, peaceful time that invites you to savor the season’s blessings and gratitude.
Winter — Warmth of the Irori Hearth
In winter, as cold air fills the outdoors, the irori hearth inside the old farmhouse is lit.
A steaming pot, warm rice, and a quiet night—
the contrast between the chill outside and the warmth within gently softens the heart in this season.
WINTER
A Message from TADA
― A place where you can start over at your own pace ―
TADA (Yoshiaki Niizuma), Chief of GAMP Village
People come to GAMP Village for many different reasons.
Travelers passing through, those seeking rest, those pausing before a new challenge, and those wanting to learn again.
I hope each of them can relax their shoulders a little here and breathe easy.
The warmth of the old farmhouse, the glow of the irori hearth, the scent of the fields, and simple, wholesome meals.
None of them are flashy, but they gently bring back the natural sense of comfort we were born with.
In life, there are moments when it’s perfectly okay to pause.
Without haste, without comparison—just straight ahead.
May your time here help you rediscover your own pace.
